I have a few gaps in exterior molding and want to seal them up at the start of this season. We just picked up the unit last fall - 2021 Escape 191BHK - and I've been researching what sealant to use. Seems to be that the Dicor (cap or lap) and Pro Flex are popular. I don't know what's currently on the trailer but there are two different sealants used in various locations.
I'm wondering about pros/cons and experiences of others. From what I've gathered Dicor can have a less desirable look after a few years, but the Pro Flex has issues if you have any TPO or EPDM material. The Escape has some kind of FRP exterior but it feels risky to put the Pro Flex on without knowing for sure what materials are there. I was leaning towards the Decor product.
Thanks!

I carry both and as far as I know there not a shelf life, the self leveling will require a caulking gun so if you decide to carry it carry a gun also. Mines been in a couple years and I'm sure it will be OK.

Dicor is used mostly to seal the roof around roof vents, skylights, tank vents and where the rubber roof meets the body material. The Proflex is for use around door, windows and trim pieces on the corners.
From the Proflex sight:
For Use On
Aluminum, glass, coated steel (Kynar 500® based finishes), steel, wood, fiberglass, and vinyl
