2021Durango gold 387FLF. Has the King omnidirectional antenna on the roof. The round one not the 3blade model. This is our 5th trip and TV has worked flawlessly up until this trip. Turn TV on and no channels. This happens with both TVs. I did a channel search on one TV and it returned with Zero channels. The bedroom TV still has the stations from the previous trip but any station you choose you get a black screen. No fuzz, no noise, nada. I checked and the booster is on. Sorry to be so long winded but want to give all details. When setting up yesterday a wire feeding one of the living room slides pulled apart and blew the fuse to that slide circuit. Turns out that circuit also powers the main pass thru where my OneControl wireless gateway is located. (That’s how I realized I had an issue. I couldn’t find my Wi-Fi). Anyway got that issue resolved. Is it possible I blew a fuse on the antenna? Does it even have one? Is there a reset or something on it? I went to king website but couldn’t an answer about a reset but I don’t believe the antenna itself has a fuse. Again sorry for the long post. Anyone have any suggestions? (Everything else on both TVs works fine) just no Antenna signal.

I don't know of a fuse for the antenna itself, but if the booster light is on, it's getting power. Could it be that you're in an area that simply has no OTA TV? A lot of places we camp have none. Sorry I can't be of more help.

The "booster" behind the TV is not a booster. The booster is in the antenna housing itself. The receptacle behind the tv provides power to the booster, and splits the incoming signal between cable and OTA. I would suspect that either there's a problem with the coax to the antenna since you had a problem with the slide's electrical - maybe it got damaged. Check your circuit breakers. They might appear on, but may have been tripped. Turn them completely off then back on.I'm assuming the light on the receptacle is on for OTA only. If not they're not that expensive easily replaceable. Brand doesn't matter.

Are you in the exact location where you previously scanned and received channels?

As been said, if the green light is on the antenna has power. I have only been in one place where wasn't any TV reception; Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Utah. Assuming you aren't in a dead zone like Coral Pink it could be the coax has a break or the amplifier has died. I would reach out to King to see if they can give you some tech advice (shortcuts) and save you a trip up on the roof. If you want to know what you should be able to get here are a couple of links: This one is from the FCC: link And another from an antenna company: link

Thanks for the suggestions. Turns out I was in a complete TV dead zone. Spoke with a few other campers there and none of us could get any TV reception. That’s just hard to imagine cause we weren’t out in the middle of nowhere.

A lot depends on the terrain and the vegetation (trees) surrounding the campground. OTA signals are mostly line of sight and low power.

The 1st year we had our 5th wheel the replaced the TV antenna, RV Tech from Kz said was the 1st one he had seen ... The next year EDD505 had his replaced as well at the Kz Rally ... I also believe that RonC has replace their antenna as well an then went to Satellite ...

Hi all! Been a while since I've visited the forum. I recently moved to full time in my Durango and have it under an engineered structure that has a metal roof. The King Antenna is sketchy now depending on which way the wind blows. LOL Has anyone every put a signal amplifier or a preamplifier on the antenna line? I tried to contact King, but they don't answer their phone and still have not received a call back. So I thought I would see what everyone was saying here.

You already have an amplifier. You can't expect to amplify static or poor signal and expect good performance. 10 x 0 still equals zero. Put up an antenna that is higher than the building for the best performance.

This is where my 5W lives when home, not a chance of getting a signal. I have Dish outdoor and I can set the antenna out from under the cover and get all the channels I subscribe to.

So question becomes if I get an external OTA antenna how to install? Is it as simple as the cable in port on the outside of the rig and turn the King antenna off?
