The last time I filled my fresh water tank, I noticed that the floor in the kitchen was lifting. I'm thinking that the vent is plugged and just filling the tank with air. Where is the vent for that tank?

What is the year and model of the trailer? If you used pressure fill from the city water inlet and the vents were closed, there is a real possibility that the frame could be damaged. Did you buy the unit new? Is there pipes sticking out the bottom? Do any of the pipes have valves?

I bought it new in 2005 and it's the 33' New Vision. I didn't allow the water to keep filling when I realized the floor was lifting. And yes, I was using city water. I'm not sure about any tubes coming down except the ones in the compartment that houses the valves for the water, grey, and black tanks. There are two there, one for hot and one for cold, with valves.

Is there a gravity fill port where you can take off a cap to pour water into the tank? It sounds like you are pressure filling the tank thru the city water inlet and there is no venting of the tank. KZ had put two vent lines down thru the belly on many later model trailers. That is what I wanted you to look for. How would you know when the tank is full? Gages are not reliable. Usually the tank is filled till water flows out of a vent, either next to a fill cap or under the trailer. Some people had water spill problems with the low vents and put valves on them which can cause the tank to blow. That's why I asked if you bought it new. I don't think that KZ used the underside vents in 2005, but who knows. Look for a vent next to the gravity fill cap and also look for and report back about any and all water pipes sticking out the bottom.
