I've tried to get some help with my problem from the customer service at KZ but I can only get one guy to respond to my emails and he is no help to me so far.
My king size bedroom slide is sitting too low and slightly rubbing the opening in the wall when I retract it. The only things it's affected so far are the two plastic corner trim pieces.
I'm very "handy" with tools and always do my own mechanical work on vehicles and my "toys". This should be a very simple adjustment to someone with my background, but again, getting no help with my situation. Maybe this is the place to post.
I don't know what kind of slide mechanism I have in the 2005 New Vision, but if I had that, I might be able to at least search for a manual on line.
With my slide, there is the motor/axle assembly at the foot of the bed and two rollers attached to the outer wall under the slide.
I thought that I could adjust the slide at the foot of the bed while the rollers acted as a pivot point but I can't get that portion of the slide to push down. Right now, it's at the full extent of the adjustment slots so I have a pretty large adjustment that can be made on that end.
On the end with the rollers, there is a good deal of room for adjustment on that end as well, but after the initial adjustment was made at the mfr., they put a screw in a non-slotted hole in the roller mounts.
What I'm thinking about doing is to take the rollers out from under the slide and replace it with a couple of rollers about 1/2" in diameter larger than what's in there. That would raise the slide next to the wall about 1/4".
Thoughts? And I'm not doing as the customer service rep suggested, to take it to a service center. They keep the camper for two months, make a simple adjustment, and then charge an arm and a leg for that work.
Thanks in advance.
