Hello all,
We just purchased a Durango Gold G382MBQ and are contemplating adding a stackable washer and dryer. We are looking for any advice on models and any reviews on real world use. From what I have been reading vented dryer seems the way to go as it will dry better.
Does anyone have a stackable installed in G382MBQ and did you install it yourself?
Thanks for you help

I don't have the stackable, I went with the Splendide 2100XC vented to save weight. Works well if you follow directions on it's use. Wife pulls permapress just before dry and hangs on a shower curtain rod that stays above the shower to help remove any wrinkles. We do laundry every few days while watching TV evenings, depending on what we have to wash. Heavy cloths you will wash more often than light summer cloths. Bedding's done the same pull just before dry and hangs on a collapsible drying rack.

We've had the Ariston Splendide stackable units in both our Escalades. Both are 110v units, dryer is vented. I am not a fan of frontloading washers but that is a compromise you live with if you are not a fan of laundromats:) Both units work well for what they are designed to do...based on experience with good residential units, think smaller loads and longer wash/dry cycles. I did not install myseld but see no issue if you have a prep package.

Looks like a great job. I installed a new front AC unit on the last fiver where there was none previously...cutting the hole in the roof is a new experience in stress:)

My previous unit where I installed the bedroom AC unit was a Carriage Domani. It came prepped for the front AC with the framing, ducts, power and thermostat wiring installed....all indicated by a small plastic rosette in the center of the bedroom ceiling. It made the location easy but cutting an RV roof is still intimidating the first time you do it. I would think a bedroom roof vent would be very practical unless you spend a lot of time in hot weather. The hole is the same

The hole is the same I already have the second A/C but there are some nights just the ventilation would be nice, open windows doesn't always get the air flow. Hot nights we run the living area A/C as we have ducted A/C. I have a MaxxAir in the living area and it moves a lot of air in or out.

I’ve been considering adding a power vent to my bedroom as well. Even with the AC unit in the bedroom sometimes the extra ventilation would be nice. Please post pictures if you do it to yours. Jay

One of the downsides to the 1500 models was that almost all of them only have the one window. The Jayco that was #2 on my list, had 2 windows, so you could get some x-ventilation. When I add the 2nd A/C, that will =really= kill any chance of non-A/C ventilation. Lyle
