Good evening, my wife and I are looking at a 2022 358RPQ to buy. Does anyone no for certain if it comes with a trailer hitch? Also have the 2022s been better built since the beginning of the year? Thank you in advance

Looking at any pictures or brochure it sure doesn’t look like it could be fitted with one. If anything it would have to be a custom welded one. As far as build quality, it’s anyone’s guess.

Toy haulers normally do not have a full bumper on the rear to support a hitch. You could look under the rear and see whats there. While there may be a way to weld on a hitch, it would probably void the warranty.

a good welder will make a hitch to fit anything.

That's a new model for this year, after discontinuing one very similar a few years back. We have the 382MBQ, which is nearly the same trailer but with the bunk room. Ours did NOT come with the hitch, even though the brochure says "All Durango Golds outfitted with 2" receiver hitch". I'd bet this one will not have a hitch either, and it is probably because of the back deck. I would highly recommend if you can, to physically walk through one if you can find it on a dealer's lot.

a good welder will make a hitch to fit anything. Still may void the warranty by modifying the frame.

Thank you to all that replied, ended up buying the 358RPQ. The units with patios don’t come with a hitch because of no bumper. Oh well, love the deck! My wife and I were purchasing a Montana but had nothing but problems with it being built during pandemic. Lack of quality control. The reason we bought the Durango is first impressions. There is hardly anything that has to be repaired before we take delivery. Very impressive quality control before unit leaves the factory

Although our Durango is not a 358RPQ, we too were very impressed with the initial build quality. Now it’s not been perfect as I have had to make a couple of minor repairs, but in 1 1/2 years of regular use, we’ve not had any issues that would warrant the cost or trouble of taking it back to the dealer. Can’t say that for any other brand I’ve owned. Jay
