I have a Durango Gold 353 that has 8 lug gray spoke wheels. They currently have E rated tires on them and was wondering what pressure rating the wheels are. I was thinking about going to G rated tires. I know that was an option at the time.

First, welcome to the forum! If you look on the backside of the rims they should have the pressure rating stamped on them. But if you have the Hi-Spec rims like mine, I believe they’re rated for 125 psi. I plan to do the same thing you’re wanting to do. My trailer is 1 1/2 years old and I plan to replace mine with G rated tires next winter. They have less than 5k miles on them and still look good but I don’t trust them. On my old Komfort the 80 psi rating was clearly stamped on the inner side, on the bead. Frankly, I haven't looked on my KZ as there's no real need for me to go to a tire heavier than the placarded D tires. Many rims are stamped in the "valley", which means that you have to have a tire dismounted to see it. Lyle |

Well my tire guy said I would have no problems with 14 ply tires. Got new high pressure stems and g rated tires. Could not find a psi rating on wheels but was stamped with a load rating. So far they are holding air and still round. 😀
