I made the appointment back in August for the first available day...February 14th. Been looking forward to this, they are replacing the bad wood sections, fans and roof penetrations and sealing permanently. Day 1 they pulled the unit inside their service bay and all roof penetrations i.e. fans, ACs, antennas and skylights were removed. The TPO membrane was cut around the soft areas and all the bad wood and damp insulation removed. A couple of fans dried everything out overnight. Day 2 new wood was fitted into place and the surface down to the gutters were prepped. During this process, they take out all the hex head screws and countersink the holes finishing with a flush screw for an even appearance. In the afternoon, they spray the Flex armor and finish with a UV stable top coat.    IMG_3295_Trim_Trim.mp4 (2.24 MB) Day 3 the fans, ACs, antennas etc are reinstalled. I elected to have the visible front, back and side painted a flat black to match the coach so that was completed.    For essentially the same cost of a new membrane install...probably less...I now have an unbelievably tough roof with a transferrable lifetime warranty. I watched the entire process and came away impressed by the craftsmanship and the product. Finally ready to get on the road again, no more caulking! |

I contemplated this on our old Komfort, but the cost was about the same as the rig was worth at the time. :-) Another option that mfrs =could= offer, but don't. Lyle |

Interesting in that the cost of this was a less than a new TPO membrane installed. I do not know how the other franchisees do their work, the Green Cove crew is just top notch. Been up on the roof weatherproofing the satellite connections and I think this is a top ten lifetime purchase!
I bought a 2007 Escalade used several years ago knowing it had roof issues. Rather than piecemeal it, I replaced all nine sheets of plywood on the roof. It was solid plywood then and that is what I replaced it with. By 2011, KZ moved to MDF. The new roof is a good bit less bouncy when walking around up there now.

we were just at a show and were quoted approx $175 linear ft, we don't need it now but if something happens to the roof that probably the direction we will go which would be about $7k
