Turned on bath vent fan using remote. It opened then closed and now will only beep ( as an alarm) and do nothing. It is not listed in our owners manual, so I can't diagnose the issue. Does anyone know about this? Thanks in advance.

You should find the brand and model number on the fan, then go to the manufacturers web site for information.

12V options not working, my first thought are the batteries up?

Do those vent fans have the moisture sensors on it? Just checking to make sure they do not close automatically if they get wet.

Well speaking of vent fans, sitting here and suddenly the Maxair starts on it's own at full speed and remote will do nothing. New batteries and still can't control the fan. Call tech support, unplug & pull fuse should reset after 10 minutes. Nope call back, bad board we will send you one $110 with install instructions.

Having my roof done next week and replacing the three original remote controlled Sureflow units with Maxxair but not the remote model. Sureflow did not have a great rep in this space but no one is building them like they used to. My understanding of Maxxair is you can replace the working parts by removing four screws and lifting it out without touching the housing or roof sealing. Replacing is generally a pain but not having to break the seal is an advantage. etrailer has reasonable prices on replacement parts if you have not checked.
