Has anyone replaced the old analog thermostat that comes in the Gold for one that has a lower setting? I had rather turn mine down low and leave the heat on, rather than winterize it. There are very few days in Georgia that need the heat turned on to prevent freezing.

I have installed the Coleman digital in all my 5W's. Wire for wire swap so very easy, never looked at how low it goes. I can run outside later and look.

I also followed suit early on with the Coleman digital I wish Kz would take notice of the number of us that did upgrades to their home on wheels, for a few dollars more most all of us that bought Durango Golds would have paid the extra buck or two to have such !!!!! But as always it the cheap way out in many case's an not ask the buyer if they would want upgrades made at the factory for such things as digital thermostats, wet bolt kits, different pin boxes etc ... Alas, it's toes up and was looking for a cool only to replace it. That is not available, as far as I can tell, so I just installed the heat cool version and just didn't connect the heat side (white wire). It's fine now, just another compromise.

So do the Coleman digital thermostats keep the temperature consistent? If so I’ll replace both of mine. The analog ones only seem to keep you in the ballpark.

Jay Yes they do, I only replaced the main and I did not do the bedroom, I run the main nights to keep the noise down bedroom to help the main days. The cost of the digital is unbelievable for some cheap electronics.

Was that an issue on yours? Jay
