I have the above trailer with a 12 gallon hot water tank. Does anyone know the part number for the water heater element?

I couldn't quite get a good pic of the model number on my water heater but they have more than one type that could have been installed in your unit. If you can make out the number in the pic yours is probably similar? I think mine is a #SW12DE2C? Suburban-Gas-Water-Heater-Model-SW12D-Insta....pdf (411.99 KB) I would see if you can get the actual number off yours.

Same one I have here is a manual with part numbers:
FIW: I changed the thermostat from a 130 degree to 140 degree when we were running out of hat water with two regular shower, we don't run out any more. The thermostat was likely still good just not making a good connection under, found rust when I got it out. I think it was $12 so not a big deal.

That's good to know. I don't have any trouble, but my wife always complains about running out of hot water in the shower, but then, she has hair and I don't... lol! Jay

My 6 y.o. granddaughter cut off about 14" of my hair about a month ago, and I =still= have about an 8" tail. :-) Lyle

thanks for the info on the water heater! I just have not had an opportunity to go check mine to see exactly which model I have. If memory serves me correctly the anode rod in my trailer is a loop type where the part for the ones you have is a solid rod. Thanks again for the help.

The loop thing is the electric heating element. If you have an anode rod, it will be a rod.
