So it's been a minute or two since anyone else commented specifically on the Escalade model. Not sure how many of these things are still on the road. I see a lot of units for sale that have been full timed. Just spend a day replacing the springs, equalizers and wet bolts on the recently purchased 2011. All were a little rusty. The rubber existing Equaflex from the factory was dry and falling apart. The back springs had flattened out a bit and the unit was tail dragging a little. While I was at it, I checked the Neverlube bearings for end play and found it to be virtually non existent.
So now the pin box is a high as I can get it and the B&W companion is as low as I can get it...and even with new springs, I am still nose high. Still have 7-8 inches clearance over the bed rails....I don't want to do anything to make the trailer higher so a more creative solution will be required.
BTW, I was very impressed with the stuffing seals around all belly pan penetrations, no ready path for mice on this unit!
