Anyone have experience with these? 235/85/16, 14 ply rated for 4400lbs at 110psi, appear to be way overkill but were all I could find that would work when picking up newtome KZ....

I haven't, but someone here might have. This is just my opinion, but I have little faith in tires made in China. Japan and Korea seem to be able to get it right though.

I have the Sailun S637's on my 5W now, great write ups so I'm trying them instead of the LT's I have always run. Not enough miles yet to say one way or another but so far they have been good in 4" snow and high winds, watching wear.

Thanks! If it helps, I had Sailuns on my previous Escalade and they were flawless over 5 years and several cross country trips. Heavy but well made...

Thanks that's in line with the write ups I have read. Nice to get confirmation from a long time user, so far I have had zero issues, hope I get 5 years, LT's were 3-4. I replaced when 4-5 3/2's replacing cheaper than a single blow out. CW gave me a written est years ago, $1500 damage to side & fender, long story anti CW but I ended up doing the repair myself for under $500. Getting to the point I don't want to do repairs any more so it would be $1500.

Sailun opened a factory in Viet Nam and there have been reports of tires coming from there that were failing. Tread separations, not blowouts, from what I've heard. They seem to be better, now.

Not sure we will see any of them here: The factory is expected to supply 7.8 million tires annually to the Middle East, Southeast Asia and South America, employing 850 people. It officially opened on Nov. 30, 2013. Looks like America is still supplied by China.

This review specifically regarding the tires made for trucks/trailers: " If they are the Sailun trailer tires, they are very high quality and are used extensively in the trucking world. While they are manufactured in China, they meet ISO standards so they aren't your typical "China bombs." www.trailertiresandwheels.com/ sells a lot of Sailun tires in the 17.5 size. I purchased a set of them at the beginning of last year and have been very happy with them. I intended to buy Goodyears, but after talking with the people at www.trailertiresandwheels.com/ and doing my own research, I decided to go with the Sailun's. It saved me significant money and I have been very happy with them." If I remember correctly, Sailun applied for and received the ISO certification specifically to gain access to this market. They readily admit their passenger car tires are mid grade but the product we are discussing has been top shelf for a while.
