Hello everybody
I bought a 2021 Classic 160QB this summer and found that the company installed a black water tank of only 15 gallons instead of the 32 gallon tank like in the specifications. Have any of you had this problem? Thanks !!

How did you determine it's only 15 Ga? If the vent is pushed down into the tank, it will only fill to the point where it can still vent, actually, it will still fill, but there will be all sorts of "burping" as it does. With all that being said, KZ, like every other manufacturer uses the B.S. "product specifications may change do to continuing improvement and development" language to allow them them to do things like downsizing black tank capacity

Hello everybody I bought a 2021 Classic 160QB this summer and found that the company installed a black water tank of only 15 gallons instead of the 32 gallon tank like in the specifications. Have any of you had this problem? Thanks !! While not common, yes, this does happen, and =all= mfrs CYA with fine print that states, "specifications may change at any time and without notice". IIRC, someone here was not happy when the advertised fresh water capacity was about 25% below the published capacity and since, as they stated, they liked to boondock, that was a =huge= issue. I know that, were I in the market today, I'd want to see the spec sheet for the =specific= rig I was looking at, base on its VIN, and not published specs. If the factory spec sheet for that VIN says one thing, but the sticker on the rig says something else, then you have grounds for action. (Usually the yellow spec sticker gives the water weight, not gallons, so you have to divide the weight by 8.34.) Lyle

I determined the number of gallons by filling it with 5 gallon containers (US) after 3 containing the tank was full to the top there is a big difference between 32 gallons and 15 gallons!

Well, that pretty much proves it, when the level is at the bottom of the toilet, it's full. Unfortunately next is to go back to your dealer and push for a warranty repair. Hopefully they don't pull the changing product standards excuse.

Be a stretch, but having a tank installed that's less than 50% of the spec is ludicrous. Hopefully, KZAMOD is reading this and will pass it up the chain. Lyle

Finally good news, my trailer has a new black 32 gallon tank. KZ sent a tank to the dealer but refused to pay for the installation. The dealer did the installation for free. We are happy with the result but I don't think KZ was professional. Guy

Disappointed in KZs response, hanging it on the dealer isn't right. But good that you had a dealer who was willing to do the right thing. Please add their name to the good and bad dealer thread on this site.

I'm still of the opinion that the workers said they were out of 32 gal tanks and the bosses said to just put in what we've got the most of. Good on the dealer for stepping up and helping to fix KZ's F-up. Lyle
