I have a Sportsman Classic 200 and want to mount a 19" flatscreen tv. Since the outside wall is 1" thick, is there a special mounting bracket or alternative location I should consider?

I have a Spree Escape and from what I can find, the walls are made of 1/8" fiberglass, 1" Styrofoam and 1/8" 3 ply plywood with a wall vinyl surface. (Check the inside location of the water inlet under the seat where the holding tank is located to verify this material). This is not well sealed and you can see the structure of the wall.
I tried to mount a 2 screw (vertical holes) TV base and the top screw with plug pulled out. I now plan to mount a 6" x 6" routed wall maple stained and lacquered board with four screws and contractor's adhesive then screw the bracket to the board when the glue has cured. I think the wall does not have sufficient strength to handle the weight in a concentrated area so i will spread the weight over 36 sq. Inches of backer board.

I was thinking of a similar solution. I called KZ and spoke with Joe Miller. He had to go to the factory floor to find out what the backer was. Not much, about a 1x2 running floor to ceiling. I think I'll figure something else out. The end of the over sink cabinets is right about where the tv backer is and I may pull the inside of the cabinet and shore it up with a couple of layers of 5/8 plywood from the inside. A couple of bolts straight through with fender washers on the inside might do the trick. The cabinets seem to be able to take the weight and we don't put anything up there with any weight. We do mostly hit and run weekend camping. My biggest concern now is securing the tv during travel.

My MXT20 also has the backer at the end of the cabinets over the sink. Used the fender washers and so far it is fine (about 25 trips). Used this mount: www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/locking-cantilever-mount/51564It locks in place while traveling and swivels all the way around the cabinet for viewing. I have a 19" flat with built in DVD mounted.

I purchased a mount for a TV in my 25RL Coyote and could not find a spot I felt confident enough to mount it. I ended up modifying the base of the TV to tip it down and just place it on the ledge when we setup and put it in my clothes closet when driving.

Just bite the bullet and thru bolt it thru the whole wall,,,,thats what I did,,,,don't even worry about it now. Use stainless hardware,, keep the roundhead part on the outside of the trailer,,use a 1.25 or 1.50 stainless washer on the bolt on the outside and cut to fit the threads on the inside. You hardly notice the bolt heads on the outside with all the other equipt on that side. Never again worry if its going to fall off the wall!
