We are looking into traveling from Tennessee to Colorado for a trip January 1-8. While we have the "ALL SEASON" package on our CONNECT RB261, the dump valves are exterior from the under belly and not protected from the cold while camping or towing. While I could put heat tape on the exposed parts while camping, that won't do me much good while towing for 6-8 hours. Has anyone used their CONNECT in freezing temperatures, and towed it multiple days where the high temperature may be below freezing? ThanksChris See below Gate valves exterior to underbelly. Pipes would have a lot of water in them to freeze while towing......

If you aren't going to use the facilities much while on the road, best I could figure is first empty the tanks then dump about a gallon of antifreeze down the sink & toilet?

The problem is we would probably do, 1-2 nights as we go between TN and CO. If we drive 6-7 hours a day, that's at least 3 overnights .... I guess not a huge issue to winterize, $20 of ANTIFREEZE each time, but the time to blow out the lines, do anti-freeze... seems... painful.
We are considering heading due south, and do driving in non-freezing temperatures, and then head due North from New Mexico.... overall seems like winter camping for this unit may not really be possible...
hopefully someone else has tried it and I can learn from them

Carry your drinking water in the truck. Use jugs of windshield washer fluid to flush the toilet. For showers, use the campground facilities if you can find one open, or stay in a motel as needed. I wouldn't consider using the trailers fresh water system, these trailers will never tolerate winter conditions.

Our final solution was to travel in April. We left April 5th and got lucky. Coldest it got was 35F. The forecast did have some nights in the 7 day forecast that were going to be as cold as 30F but my the day arrived the forecast moved the temperature up!!! Nextime I would probably leave April 20th..... to avoid freezing, or head south further for longer!!! We were fortunate we missed all the fires too, which were all around us in New Mexico. I guess we were just lucky... except for bent axle and tire wear, but that's for a different post...
