Welcome, and nice job! My old Komfort FW had a small flip up counter, and we used it all the time. DW didn't like it as it was a bit tricky to operate and I'd usually end up having to do it. My original #1 choice when we were shopping, was the D1500 D284RLT, which had an optional island. I didn't want the fixed island, but was planning on buying a rolling cart that I'd seen to give us the extra counter and storage space. I would have added recessed d-rings in the floor as hold-downs for travel. Sadly, I never even got to see one of these rig (I'd =still= like to see one.) and we lucked into our 277RLT and the price was simply too good to pass up. Also, DW loved the layout, so that settled that. :-) Lyle |

Thanks for posting this. We were considering adding similar to our kitchen counter for the exact same reason.
We definitely need to add this to our list of things to "tweak" on one of our next trips.
