We are jealous of all the new KZ owners whose trailers have been delivered and are now KZ owners. Our dealer called two weeks ago to let me know our trailer had arrived at their facility, and that he would let me know when it had been through their PDI inspection by the service department.
We've been waiting over six months for this 5th wheel to arrive, and now it is here in our area (50 mi away), and still untouchable.
Today I called and his response was "I asked my service department for an update . . ."
Still waiting in SE Idaho . . .

I know you are chomping at the bit to get you new home on wheels, but slow down an make sure you do a very, very, very good PDI of your own before signing anything ... Do not take your new rig off the lot till they fix everything you found wrong, DO NOT TRUST your DEALER !!!! I can't say it enough !!!
A PDI should take no less that 4 or 5 hours, yep it sounds long an your excited to get you new home on wheels an the dealer or his Service person may tell you no problem getting it back in for service !!! You can read numbers of posts about owners waiting weeks an months to
get back in for repairs ... I can tell you that I made an appointment in February to get repairs to our 5th wheel an the dealer stated the
1st appointment was in July 1st ....
So again please, please, please do a good PDI an do not let dealer rush you or ask you to sign on the dotted line before repairs are done to your satisfaction ...
Agn Welcome to the Kz Form an Family !!!!

Chuck, Trust me, I have my detailed PDI checklist ready to execute, and have notified my dealer of the need for full hookups during our inspection, as well as asking for a copy of the dealers PDI checklist and any issues found/corrected prior to our visit. They are also aware that the trailer will only go home with us if there are no issues requiring dealer/warranty repairs, as we would not take it home before those are done. My tool bag is packed and ready and my overalls and creeper are ready to go. This may be influencing how long it is taking them to have it ready for us to inspect

HiWayOurWay When we did our PDI I ask for a creeper to inspect the underside an a lift in inspect the roof, the Tech said I was the only person that had ever ask for such in the 5 years he had been doing PDI's with new owners ... In one of my post I stated that I even ask the Tech to open the Black an fresh water tanks pulling the handles to see if they functioned, he said that there may be sewage in the black water tank, I said it's brand new there should not
be anything in there .... The look on his face when there was nothing that came out was priceless
Safe Travels an again welcome to the form an kz family

Hopefully you’ll have your new rig soon so you can hit the road. As many have already said, the importance of the PDI cannot be overstated. Please take your time and don’t allow the dealer to rush you out the door. Congrats on the new rig! Here’s to many adventures ahead!
