I am attempting to repair the cord in one of the pleated shades. The valance has to come off. I can see or feel no way that it has been attached at the top. The legs have a bracket near the bottom that can be fairly easily removed. Screws simply attach at the bottom on each side. I suspect it attaches in a similar way at the top. However, I suspect the actual top valance is installed at the time of manufacturing with no worry about a needed repair down the road. I sure would appreciate a comment if anyone has solved the problem I've tried to describe. Maybe it just pulls off...I know I could do that....but that could be damaging. Maybe one of you has the secret. This is a 2020 Durango 283 RLT Half Ton model. Thanks!

Excellent reply and pictures...thanks! I didn't think to look for mount to something above. You've given great suggestions.

Pulled ours to install day night shades, a 90degree adapter for a cordless was a must about $30 for the Dewalt.
