DW is thinking of spending a couple months at her sister's place up in Chino Valley this summer. About 10-15 degrees cooler there than here in PHX. As it still gets into the low 100's up there, I'm on a fast track to add the 2nd A/C; rig is pre-wired and 50a. Main unit is a Coleman Mach 15. I need a non-ducted unit for the bedroom and am just starting to gather info. If anyone here has added a 2nd unit, please let me know what you added and how it's worked out for you. I'd =like= to add the low-profile unit. Pros/cons? Also, do I =really= need a 13.5k unit in the bedroom or would something smaller be better? Is the price different small enough to justify going for the larger one?
Also, since the 2nd unit would be non-ducted and have an internal 'stat, is there any reason to go with another Coleman? Are there better units for the same money (or cheaper)?

My coach has the second A/C- it's the low profile 13.5, one advantage of it being ducted is we use it most of the time (we prefer an extra cool B/R) and it also sends enough air to the living area, so we don't have to hear the lower A/C- so it might be worth while to duct it in- assuming of course you have ducting up to the B/R. I can't come up with pros- cons of low pro VS std height, although in my case the extra height could cause clearance issues. I would go with another Coleman, just because I like uniformity.

Called a guy who's checking with his distributors to see if he can even =get= one. Seems that they're also part of the Covid-related shortages. I =do= need to double-check with KZ to be 100% sure my rig's non-ducted in the bedroom before I actually order one. :-) Lyle

Just a though Lyle if you can't get a new A/C I think AZ has some RV salvage yards.

I contacted KZ for my 2014 Goldrush and all they provided was a part # and price.
Our part number for the 2nd A/C is 132920 and the cost is $1603.08 plus tax and shipping. It is the exact one that was put in originally.

Assuming he cold find one, of course. Lyle
