Has anyone had an issue with there drive up ramp door being soft/squishy to walk on? I can not see any area where water could get in to cause this. I am actually concerned about driving my motorcycle up the ramp for fear of falling through. sides are still firm, but of course the middle where you drive up is the soft area.
Does anyone have a site to go to view the construction of these ramp doors? I am also looking to see whom/where may be a good place to go to for repair instructions. I am capable of doing the work but not sure what I need to fix the problem. My local KZ dealer is swamped and they may never get to it this summer.

I had looked at Pelland but forgot their company name. Thank you for the link and information. I am trying to get an answer from KZ themselves but no response yet. Just really bummed if I have to replace this door on such a well maintained unit.

Your ramp door may be made by Challenger. Should be a sticker on the door showing all the information. The one on my 270thle is rated for 2500lbs. The construction is probably 3/8 plywood, foam core and fiberglass skin. I spoke to Challenger and they assured me it would hold the weight. Just to be safe, I now carry a piece of 5/8 OSB, 24 inches wide and the length of the ramp to distribute the weight. I also sealed the bottom of the door where the aluminum meets the skin with Geocell sealant.
When I had my Forest River 22rr the ramp cracked the first time I loaded my bike. FR told me that I over loaded the ramp. Specs were 1500 lb load and the bike weighed less than 800lbs. They then told me no more than 500lbs per wheel. 2 wheels times 500 is 1000lbs. They still refused to replace the ramp and told me to contact the dealer. The dealer said to contact FR.

Well at least you have a solution now, glad you didn't have to replace it!

Can't even figure out that a 800 lb bike only has 400 lbs on each wheel. Read a post a while back (can't remember if here or elsewhere) where a guy's road bike started breaking the floor in his TH's garage. It was well under the specs for the floor and it was replaced. IIRC, he ended up adding a strip of diamond plate on the floor after it was fixed. Lyle

There should be a label on the ramp door showing the company that made the door. My 270thle ramp was made by Challenger. challengerdoor.com/ramp-doors/
