Any one know of a slide topper that fits the Durango's with two awnings? I watched a video on the install and looked easy, then I went out and looked, there's no where for the mount on the slide. I'm looking for brand and a picture of the mount if you can get one. TIA - Edd

Hmmmm... Was wondering if a long, narrow vertical piece could be stuck to the outside that the topper could mount to. Use the 3M tape like they use for car badges. That's tough stuff. Does Eternabond make a double-sided tape? Lyle

The YouTubes I watched all show the slide mount goes in the corner against both corners against the upper vertical & horizontal trim. That where the main slide awning is. I was hoping someone here had looked into this. Guess I need to make a call to KZ.

So the metal strip/bracket just above and running the length of my slides is a pre-mounted bracket for toppers? I have one of those on the awning slide too. Otherwise I have no idea what those are.

The topper bracket goes in the corner where the two dark strips meet at the top. To the poster that ask about the rail above, yes it's a rain gutter & the slot is for the topper.
This is one corner of the main awning, no room for a bracket in the corner.
This is the other, maybe room here for it to go in.

This sounds like a call to Solera -- the support center for the slide toppers -- from what it looks like - the maim awning might have to be lowered a bit -- to fit those corner bracket supports

I would hope the Solera hardware mounted on the slide can be adjusted so the slide topper doesn't interfere with the main awning.

I noticed the topper bracket over each slide is not level, they're pitched. I guess I don't understand why they would be pitched and not level. The roof rain gutter is just above these brackets. If I was to buy the LCI Solera toppers, how would I use these brackets? It seems I would need to remove the ones over the slides and install the LCI brackets that come with the kit. Strange. I'll post a pic one of these days.

Edd
I have had our trailer to three different RV dealers an two rv repair shops asking about a slide topper for are 5th wheel, they all said no way, the awning is to high over the windows an not enough room to mount a slide tipper sorry to say Ugh !!!!
The other thing is that it interferes with the seal I was also told at the last two I ask about ... If Kz would only have put smaller windows in an lowere the awning we would have been set, but no they had to put those large windows in ...

I see it Kz took a hint an you have smaller windows than the older Kz Durango Golds an thus more room at the top of the slode ...
I even ask one Rv dealer if I could lower the awning on our slide, he said sure but then your door will hit your awning if it's tilted down an you will have holes to fill from were the awning use to be an we still possibly won't have room to mount such ... I ask how much was they thinking in cost to so such, they stated I didn't want to know ...Ugh !!!
In my other post I made a type "O" an it look like I eas talking about Edd's trailer when It was ours I was posting about, Sorry Edd !!!!!!
