New to me 2006 40 SKS I am trying to figure out who made the frame for this model. There is a MORryde hitch on the front which tows great but it sits way under the nose cone which puts the camper way up into the bed of my short box Ford. I have a Demco Auto slide hitch but still dont get much of a turn before I kiss the cab. I am trying to figure out what options I have as far as pin boxes go to give me a few more inches. Over ll I like the Escalade seems really sturdy. Every thing works except the lights in the garage area and the rear flood lights. Im working on them now. All the fuses are good..... Any info on this unit would be welcomed as there is not much online and KZ doesn't seem to offer much info when asked It is my understanding that back in that time period the Escalade frames where made by New Horizons. This was when New Horizons was a fabrication plant and just starting to get into the RV 5th wheel market. KZ kept the company solvent by having them make frames for their upscale models.

Thanks, I did some research and Leahy (sp) also made frames for them. They got bought by Lippert at some point. Appears by the pin box measurement that I have Leahy 7920 frame. Morryde makes a long pinbox that should bolt up by my measurements. I called them and they wont say if it will work because the manufacture used a medium length pin box on that unit.
I have to get the long pin box or a new truck. hahah.

Try calling some RV dealers to see if they have any take offs lying around. The outfit I worked at had a few from when customers bought upgraded pin boxes.

Thats a good idea. I dont really see many of these Escalades anywhere. They seem to be few and far between

If you got to Bullseye salvage they have brand new airborne hitches that fit right in an escalade. I put one on mine, and it worked perfect. Jim
