I have very few issues with 2012 38fl; but I don't think the lighting in the kitchen/dining area is adequate. So I figured I would just change to larger bulbs in the fixture under the ceiling fan.no big deal, right? WRONG! The thing uses little candelabra base bulbs. It came with 2 40 watt bulbs, which was better than no light, bust just barely! So I changed them out and put 2 60 watt bulbs in. It's better, but still not enough. Turns out, that no one makes a stronger than 60 watt bulb with that base. After much research on the Internet I found some xenon bulbs which are supposed to put out about 20 percent more light. I ordered some from Pegasus lighting today. $9:00 bucks each. OUCH! When they come and I install them I'll let ya'll know if makes a difference. KZ staff, if you are reading this, we need more light in the kitchen/ dining area!

I would be cautious about upgrading the bulbs, especially to xenon as the fixture might not be rated for that wattage never mind the increased heat that the higher bulb might generate. Check with your dealer to make sure you are not creating a fire hazard.

Have you looked into LED bulbs from home depot or lowes?
