We picked up our new rig on Saturday. When doing our orientation, I asked the tech if there is a water line connected to the fridge for the ice maker that is installed in the freezer. He said no and we discussed possible ways to get water to it. Yesterday we were looking under/behind cabinets to figure out a way to connect it, after we get a good water filter system, and we saw a clear plastic tube behind the garbage can cabinet which is right next to the fridge. (It is in a slide and not near a sink.) Does anyone else have the GE residential French door fridge and if so, was there a water connection made? Thanks in advance. We have her at a storage yard and won't be traveling or have a water connection for at least a month.

we pick up our 391 in about a week,, I would hope the fridg is connected to water. I would not be happy if I bought a unit that was stated to have an ice maker but was not connected

Just got our 2021 326RLT a couple of weeks ago, The water was hooked up to the fridge, Make's Ice like a champ. There is a switch on the Ice Maker that you can turn it off and on. I would really think they should have the water hooked up to it. Good luck

I think our tech wasn't too familiar with the brand. We bought it from their inventory on the lot and truthfully didn't even know it had an ice maker until Saturday. This is a huge plus for us. Thanks for the info.

In addition to the on/off switch on the icemaker itself, I also have a valve that shuts off the water supply to the icemaker. Mine is located in the cabinet under the sink by the dishwasher. There should be a valve somewhere. And I know weird things happen at the factory but if it has an icemaker, it should already have a water supply to it.

I hate to say it but as I have posted in the PDI list if the Tech dozen't know it ask him or her for someone who can tell you if such can or can not answer the questions ...
Sorry to be so bunt but this is one items that pushes my button, he or she didn't know if frig was hooked up to water to make ice when it had an ice make what else didn't they know an didn't show you about your trailer to make you camping experience a memorable one

No tech doing the PDI walk through should ever have I don't know as an answer.

No tech doing the PDI walk through should ever have I don't know as an answer. You are exactly right. Doing a complete PDI & walk thru prevents so many issues, it pays off 3-1. Why more dealers haven't figured that out is beyond me. Chuck brought up a very important point: What else was overlooked or not explained?

No tech doing the PDI walk through should ever have I don't know as an answer. When my mom served 2 terms on our local school board, she did have to give that answer, a lot, but it was =always= with the caveat, "I will find out and get back to you as soon as I can". I don't think she ever failed to deliver on that promise. The =correct= answer, is just that, "I don't know. Let me go check; I'll be right back." Now, as was previously stated, even the most knowledgeable tech may not know, given the "creativity" shown by the crews building these things. Lyle

We have a 2021 343 MBQ with GE French door fridge and our ice maker doesn’t work either. We found the shut off valve in the cabinet under the stove, have it turned on, but no ice. Ever so often it makes a growling sound so we think it is not getting water. Closest service option is Camping World and they want to keep forever. KZ claims we will void warranty if we pull fridge ourselves. Any ideas? We also have very low water pressure throughout our rig. Have changed filter and have new regulator rated for 45 per owners manual. Thinking perhaps two issues may be related. Any suggestions very welcomed!
Update: No water to fridge or shut off valve we found under stove and no connection or valve under sink. Water line from fridge traces to valve under stove which goes into black pipe that runs towards sink but no evidence of connection to sink cold water line. Did they just miss a step in manufacturing or is there a hidden shut off valve somewhere else?

Wouldn't it normally be grey pex and teed off of that? Sumpin's =definitely= not right. Lyle

All they'd have to do is mark every drop and cap the ones not used in a specific model. Lyle

Jay Just think, if they used robots, they could tell the system that a loom for X model was needed, and it'd be made on the spot. Bet it wouldn't take more than 30 minutes and could easily be done just as the frame hit the line, so ready when needed. Lyle

We also have the GE fridge. Ice maker works great, but we have never been able to get water out dispenser inside. Press the button and nothing happens. I'm guessing, but I bet there is a piece of trash somewhere in the line, after it goes to ice maker. Kirt

Black conduit pipe is what the water line from the valve under stove runs into and disappears. Unless there is another valve somewhere it looks like underbelly would need to be opened up to find the problem or flooring taken up. Seems like we are missing something…

If your 150 miles away from selling dealer you can call Kz CS an they will give you a dealer who will service your trailer, however I would in no what to a trailer to Camping world for service !!!!
There may one of two Camping Worlds that have one of two techs that know what they are doing but they are far an few in-between an you can read hundreds
of post were owners come out of a Camping World with more problems that they went in with ....
As I been told a number of times, Camping World is the training ground for RV Techs, once they know anything they move on quickly ....
Also as I remember looking at wiring in the floors at the kz Factory the wiring was ran thought the floor between rails an then when needed pops up at the point were needed in the Durango Golds ...

After over a year we now have a working ice maker. Turns out the factory ran the ice maker line but never connected it to a water source. While the tech was fixing that also notice our water link had several kinks and replaced so now we have a bit more water pressure.
