Hello All, We have a D333rlt Durango with a residential refrigerator. After traveling for 3 days to Florida we parked at the RV park we were to stay at for the next couple of weeks. While setting up my wife tried to move the kitchen slide back in and heard a click and the message "error occurred" came up on the screen. Called Lippert, called KZ and to make a long story short they said that my battery voltage must be low. Meter on One Control at this time said 13.5V because we were plugged into shore power. Decided to let it go and address the situation when we needed to move. Later that night I decided to try it and it worked just fine. I will tell you that the unit only has (1) 12 volt battery a group 27. Some people say because I have a residential refrigerator I should have 2. Am looking for suggestions here. Never had a problem with it on the way back to Michigan. Would 2 6 volt golf cart batteries be better?
Thanks in Advance

Never had a problem with it on the way back to Michigan. Would 2 6 volt golf cart batteries be better? Thanks in Advance IMO, both LCI and KZ passed the buck on this, as you were plugged in and the control was showing 13.5v; plenty for literally everything in the rig. I have no residential fridge experience in an RV, but if you're plugged in all the time, having only 1 battery shouldn't make a difference as it's running off 110v. Would a second batter be better? Probably. First thing I did after the OEM 12v battery crapped out was to go to 2 6v golf cart batteries, but we boondock a lot and they stand up to a lot more hard use (i.e. lower voltages) than so-called deep cycle 12v batteries. Someone needs to troubleshoot the problem before you get stuck somewhere and can't get a slide in or out. Also, please post in more appropriate forums for tech help. This is a "welcome" forum. I'd suggest the Durango-specific forum. Lyle

3 days travel with the residential fridge, was the battery charging while traveling? If is was did it charge enough to keep the battery topped off? Just a guess, the battery drained traveling, you plugged in and the converter kicked on showing 13.5 as a charge rate not true battery voltage. After being plugged in the battery got topped & everything worked. The One Control is voltage sensitive and I thought all Durangos had two batteries, especially with the residential. I would ask that of KZ, shouldn't it have two.

I believe Edd is dead on with his diagnosis of the issue. The One Control is definitely voltage sensitive. I learned the hard way when I couldn't move a slide in. After I plugged in to shore power my One Control showed 13.6 volts but when I disconnected the battery and tested with a meter, it was barely 10. Fortunately, mine was parked at home when this happened. I don't have a residential refrigerator in mine but my son has one and he says the inverter draws more current while travelling than the trickle charge from the truck, so you probably need to plug in after a few hours travel. Also like yours, my 333 came with only one group 27 12-volt battery. Good luck and safe travels!
