are the TV's regular TV's, or smart TV's?

Mine are regular TV's, but that might have changed since 2018.

They would be regular televisions. A 65" in the living room and a 32" in the bedroom.
Purchasing an inexpensive roku would basically turn them.into smart tv's.
KZ seems to like the Sansui brand for the Gold line they seem to be a durable unit with good picture quality.
