I noticed recently that there is a puddle forming on the floor of my Spree right next to the open slide out. It feels and smells like some sort of oil. I cleaned it up and placed a bunched up paper towel in the corner to see if it’s indeed coming from under the extended slide out. My slide out uses an electric motor to open and close. Could it be coming from the fridge that’s in the slide out section? Puzzled in Louisiana, Scott

It may smell like oil, an it may be such but I would rub my fingers in it to see if it's really oil or if it's water, oil could be from the slide rails or from any part of the bottom of the slide ...
Check to make sure that the seals around the window are ok, water travels, as well check to make sure your seals on your slide-out are not ripped an letting water into the slide ... Replacing a slide floor is not cheapan you need to get ahead of the problem really quickly before your warranty expires ...
Good Luck, Let us know what the problem is so other may benefit from such
Safe Travels

I think you might have a drawer under the fridge, if so remove it and look under there. Also, remove the outside fridge vents and explore there, they do a poor job of sealing in there and maybe you have something dissolving from rain water. The fridge has a small tray that collects condensation under the burner, so check that as well.

Thanks y’all. Before I replaced my wipers/seals i did have a leak. However it has been over 6 months since replacement and i in just noticing this. The initial water leak from rain did get onto the camper floor. I will check the things y’all have mentioned and get back here to report. It’s a 2011 so no warranty to worry about. I can verify now that the liquid is coming from under the slide out as the paper towel absorbed before it ran into the floor. Thanks again. I can always count of this forum to help me.

Several days now with nothing near slideout to absorb any liquid and no sign of anymore of the brown water. I inspected as y’all suggested and nothing under fridge nor behind the outside panel. It has rain since. I still have no idea what it really was or where in came from. Thanks again!

Safe Travels Chuck Thanks Chuck. I’ve pull to a job 5 hours away from home and have been in a barren rv park for 11 days so far. It’s rained several days and still no sign of anymore of the liquid. I’m still keeping a close watch.
