We have a 2018 Connect C281BHK. Would like to replace sofa bed with recliner sofa. Size is 60". Weight of sofa is 115 lbs. Have searched the web and everything I find is too heavy for slide out. Suggestions please.

We have friends who replaced theirs with 2 recliners. They've been very happy with them. I would think the slide would adequately support the additional weight of the reclining sofa, especially since it will be retracted when actually moving. Most concerns I've heard is getting residential furniture into the trailer since RV doors tend to be narrower. Good luck!

We replaced our sofa bed with a recliner sofa, weight was about the same. But as previously mentioned, getting it in can be tricky. You need to get one that has a removable back, makes getting them into the coach much easier.

We asked out KZ dealer about this. He told us that the dual recliner "theater seating" option from KZ was too large to fit through the door of the trailer. So it was necessary to order it directly from the factory if you want it. Perhaps there are other non-factory options available.

There's no way our theater seat/recliners would go through the door of our coach without some disassembly. I'm not sure about other brands, but I do know the backs are removable on a lot of the Lazy Boy recliners and sofas. Even with residential doors, I remove the backs because it makes them so much easier to handle.

I agree with jfspry58, some but all Lazy Boy recliners have removable backs an even thought you can order now direct from Kz the theater seating has to have a pretty wide door to fit into a trailer ... I saw them replace our theater seating two years ago at the dealer, even thought our door is very wide they had a dickens of a time getting into the trailer ... Safe Travels Chuck

The factory KZ recliners go in/out fine, the backs come off so it goes in pieces. I added a second love seat and took out the sleeper sofa. I got the love seat from Camping World. Yes I hate the place, ordered, paid in full, waited 2.5 months and when it came in they wanted to charge more as the price had gone up. Took me asking for the manager to get that fixed, that unit also comes apart.
Go to any furniture store and look for a love seat 60" or less, most have backs that come off. You might also look at duel recliners, also have back that come off.

We finally decided on Rec Pro 67 inch sofa recliner wall hugger with center console. ( I measured wrong on my post). We have 70 inches between wall and dinette so all should be good. Should be here next week. Thanks for all of the suggestions ! Now if NE Ohio would warm up.... camping may come soon for us.

Haha!! I was concerned about the center console also because our sheltie likes to hog the couch. I guess Max will have to make do with just a recliner seat when we are out and about. I did buy him a fluffy new bed for when me and hubby are using both seats.
