The kitchen slide is tearing up the flooring. There are two places about 3 feet apart, 2 inches wide, about a foot long. The floor is getting creased in these spots and has large areas where it is unattached to the wood floor. I have contacted KZ customer service, but all I get is crickets. The dealer developed alligator arms once I drove it off the lot , so they are useless. Beginning to regret this purchase. Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing

Keithg44, Sorry to hear of your lack of response from KZ! 1.) FIND A GOOD DEALER 2.) Have them try to contact KZ on your behalf before starting any work. 3.) Sounds like the slide just needs adjusting. (Maybe replace the rollers?) 4.) Probably going to have to replace some or all of the flooring?
Don't let this issue cause buyers remorse, this can be handled fairly quickly with the right dealer. Good luck

So, what has the dealer done or not done? Does the slide move easily or does it chatter / skip as it moves? Is it square with the exterior wall when in? Out? The slide is obviously dragging, as to why is the question. I haven't looked under my kitchen slide, so I cant say for sure what KZ uses, either a roller or a slider on the interior edge, perhaps one or the other is missing or the slide needs adjustment, hard to tell without more info.

I have much smaller cuts on my kitchen slide from a AA that came out of inside/outside temp unit while traveling. Ended up under the slide and when it went out I noticed the marks & found why. Any chance something got under it?

Any chance something got under it? Good point! We had a similar thing happened to us, the pull chain knob from the ceiling fan came off during travel once and was stuck under the kitchen slide, man that little thing made a lot of racket! No noticeable floor damage. I was able to remove it.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing I'm wondering if the flooring coming up is the =cause= of the creasing. If it's not laying down flush, it could be contacting the bottom of the slide, which is then causing the crease. At this stage, you =tell= the dealer that you're dropping it off to be fixed under warranty, and it's =their= responsibility to deal with KZ. IMO, this is going to need a complete re-floor, not patching and tell them that you won't accept anything less. I'm sure one of the guys here, probably Chuck, has good inside contact info for KZ, and you can tell them what you're doing, and why. Another alternative is to find the next closest dealer that'll do the work. If there's not one that's reasonably close, then start contacting mobile RV repair people. KZ =will= work with them if there's no alternative. I know they're likely to push you to your selling dealer, but if you tell them that they've refused to talk to you about the issue and that you're no longer comfortable (or willing) to deal with them, I'd bet that KZ will work with you on alternatives. Yes, luckily I was able to stop the slide while it was slightly tilted out and yank it out of there.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing 1St of all it is the responsibility of your selling dealer under warranty to fix your trailer if still under warranty, if out of warranty that as you well know you are responsible .... As stated if your selling dealer will not help you then talking with Kz CS is the possible way to approach your problem ...
I'm sure that Kz CS will ask you if you have approached your selling dealer an if not do such ASAP to start action regarding your problem, this is stated in you owners manual ... As stated Kz will authorized a mobile RV repair person if you are to far away from a dealer or can not move the trailer, however they will not as far as I know authorize the travel time of the mobile repair person coming to you ... Again I can't say it enough, you need to try an work with your selling dealer, document everything, calls you
make, people your talk with, responses to emails an emails you send ... I will say that emailing CS at Kz has in the past had little success an phone call to Kz CS seem to be the way to go, again take names of people you talk along with times an days you did such ...
As noted I do know people at Kz, but there are other people on here that have attended Kz rallies an have way more pull talking with them than I do ... Yes Kz has bent over backwards to help me, they have also done the same with RVdude, EDD505, Ronc, jetzen, nvguy an many who have attended the Kz rallies, so I am no better than the others an have no better pull that any other one person on this form ...
Safe Travels an please keep us posted as to what your dealer has done or not doing ....
Chuck
