For those of you like me with F350, to use the basic 2 inch receiver items you need 2 adapters. I ordered a 3 inch to 2 inch adapter from Moonlight Diesel(moonlightdiesel.com) The adapter fits flush in the hitch and is very tight, removing nearly all the slop and rattle. Well worth a look if you use your receiver hitch. Safe travels Kirt

I know it was a pain to get the 3" receiver because they are not stocked at the places you normally expect to get one. Why Ford had to go to 3 inch when the standards been 2 inch for years. I had to go online to find one. Ball mount

Just bought a 2020 F350 6.7 and noticed that anomaly at my walk around before signing the papers. I asked if it was taken off the truck before I bought it. They stated that the new Ford Super Duty’s don’t come with them anymore. Really? I traded in my 2017 F350 to the same dealership and told them I was going to take my old 2” sleeve as a parting gift and they allowed it. It’s funny that this was just brought up on this forum. Those are the little things that are completely annoying but it worked out.

My '19 came with the 3". It had the 2 and 1/2 adapter with it. Then add the 2 inch adapter, was just way to sloppy. I think this adapter will make things alot better. Now if I could only find a 3" anti rattle lock to firm it all up...... Kirt

My TV is setup to tow my 5W and I had another 1/2 ton to bumper pull. Sold that so now the F350 does all the towing and I needed a receiver.

Well I misspoke the hitch is 2.5 inch not three, I had it out today and it's clearly marked 2.5. Still not the standard 2"

My 2006 F350 came with the 3". It had the 2 and 1/2 adapter as well. real pain at times if the adapter slides when putting in the hitch, so I just push the pin in a little to hold the adapter so it won't slide .... I don't know if I'd buy a new F350/450 if it didn't have the trailer hitch, might be a deal breaker, wonder if Chevy or Dodge did away with them as well, not that I'd ever change from a Ford to brand-X Chuck

Made my own anti rattle lock with a 4" u bolt and a 6" inch mending bar. All my 2" items(everything) are snug with no wobble. Biggest concern was bike rack, the e bikes weighing 62 pounds each jumped all over before the new adapter and u bolt. Had the bolt all along just to much junk to try and tie down. Safe travels to all Kirt

I've known more'n one farmer who simply drilled and tapped a couple holed in their receiver and tightened a short bolt into the holes to keep the slop down. I've also seen people do the same by welding a nut on the receiver.

Shortly after I bought my new 2020 Ram 3500 last year, I ordered a 3" to 2" sleeve adapter from Amazon so I could use my existing hitch stingers for the utility trailer, etc. A month later, when I pulled out the rear floor mats to do a thorough vacuuming of the truck cab, I discovered a small hatch door in the floor of the rear passenger side seat area. Upon opening that hatch, I found a hitch sleeve adapter, a set of four TPMS valve stems for a trailer, and a dummy plug for connecting to the socket when you unplug and remove the tailgate.

Good to hear Dodge dealers are just as good as Ford dealers when it comes to hiding / not mentioning things. Guess you now have a good place to put stuff you don't want easily found.

My wife loves those little hatch doors to hide her purse in when we're out somewhere and she doesn't want to carry it. I on the other hand, haven't found much use for them. Seems every time I put something in one of them, I forget about it then find it 3 months later while cleaning the truck. Lol! Jay
