'18 Gold. The thetford Aqua Magic style II that came in the coach water valve started leaking. NP with that, straight forward fix.
BUT - putting the pedal back on, the return spring came off. Damn if I could get back on.
So, gonna replace the toilet.
Question, I could replace it with the same unit, or I was thinking about a Dometic 320.
Has anyone done that? Thinking about clearances, etc.
Right now, just gonna do a manual flush with the water valve.
Thanks, Al

Just so you know, the Dometic is a throw away item with few parts available.

I think they all are. I really haven't had problems with the Thetford. The water valve started leaking and I replaced it. No biggie. I've done it before on other rigs.
Thetford doesn't sell the spring. It only comes with a new unit.
So, if I have to replace it - stay with this one, or go with something else.
Thanks, Al

Thanks, Al You will find that the spring can not be put back in place per the manufacture. I bought $80 in parts, and like you the spring came out. I was able to get it back in place but never got the thing to quit leaking. I replaced it with the Dometic 310 (round bowl) the 320 is oval. Soft close lid, and a bowl that flushes all the way around, not a squirt of water from the rear. While you have it out add a shut off valve just like the sticks & bricks house. I know at least one here switched to the 320.

We did the 320 ... it's a very tight fit, but it's a MUCH better toilet. The seat and ceramic bowl are residential quality. Edd did the 310 and it has a soft close lid, ours does not have that. It was the wife that pushed for the 320 (oval seat). The fit was VERY tight, as in just barely.

Did anyone add the hand spray option? The wife saw one and said HMMMM, pretended I didn't hear her. Kirt

Ed, how did you do the shut off valve? Cut the supply line and put in an inline Sharkbite valve. I picked up the valve at a big box store, supply line will come up through the floor behind the toilet. With the valve before the toilet you can shut it off if the toilet leaked and still have water to the rest of the RV. W/O that valve I had to shut the water off at the stand pipe outside until I could repair the toilet or in my case replace.

we also replaced out toilet Dometic 310 (round bowl) an soft close lid, As Edd505 stated the bowl flushes all the way around, not a squirt of water from the rear. We a;so added the shut off valve ...
I agree with Edd the show sprayer works just fine if you need to clean the toilet, I just don't tell the DW when doing such LOL

Chuck as much as I wanted to make that change, there was a clearance problem at the back of the toilet. So, had to do the same model.
