Hello to everyone. I recently purchased a 2008 KZ 210ks. I am having trouble identifying a weight capacity for the rear king slide out bed. There doesn’t seem to be information on this anywhere. I’ve even looked in forums for other males that have a rear slide, but there is nothing definitive. One person will say 500-800 on the slide when extended, and to never sleep on it retracted. In fact, some say not to even put anything on the bed when it is retracted and traveling down the road. Then another person says it’s 1000 lbs. whether extended or retracted. I am perplexed as to why this information is not found in the owner’s manual, but it isn’t. If anyone is privy to definitive details on this topic. Thanks in advance!

Though I cannot address the slide limitations on your specific trailer, I do know that the kitchen slide on my 5th wheel supports the refrigerator, cooktop, oven, microwave, cabinetry (filled with cookware), pantry, and entertainment center, regardless of whether it is extended or retracted. Based upon that, I would think you would be safe on the bedroom slide. I know a lot of people who store a lot of gear in the under bed storage. When added to the weight of 2 adults, it can creep on up there. Sorry I can't be more specific. Good luck!

duane Like jfspry58 I cannot address the slide limitations on your specific trailer, I don't believe that even Kz can tell you the exact weight of that slide in more do to the fact the plans may be to old for them to reference ...
Kz make a pretty darn good product an I can believe that you would have any problems with two large adults
would have to worry over such .... Now saying such I would not be putting eight or nine hundred pounds on such expanded or say over 600pds even when retracted but anything less I feel your very safe ...
Only my three Cents

Thank you, Jay and Chuck, for your responses. Much appreciated. Spring is springing now. Looking forward to readying the KZ for summer fun!
