Build a small ramp with lego blocks, drive the good tire up on the stack.

Our motor vehicles have jacks for changing tires but not our campers ... Booooo! I bought a 4 ton bottle jack when I got my first FW. 11,360 GVW, so I figured 8k lifting would be enough to lift one wheel. Nope, wouldn't touch it. The one time I needed a jack, I ended up using the truck's OEM jack and it lifted it just fine. I ended up buying a low-profile 12t bottle jack and used that to lift each corner for brake and bearing checks. I jack under the spring perch with zero issues. Touch wood, haven't needed to use =any= jack on my KZ. I carry both the 4t and 12t in my trailer. Both were bought at Harbor Freight. Lyle

I ended up buying a bottle jack with extenders. Used it during hub repacking.

I ended up buying a bottle jack with extenders. Used it during hub repacking. you can use the blocks the same way to repack, one wheel at a time. On the road I do just what chuck does, Coachnets apps on my phone, open app request assistance.

For a simple tire repair, I'm still spry enough to take care of that, though next year will be an adventure after I have my dominant shoulder rebuilt a bit. We aren't planning on =any= spring camping due to that and our first trip will likely be our annual boondocker with the family. If all goes well, I'm looking at a late-summer/early fall trip to visit one of my wife's old friends from school in WI, then over to MN to visit her aunt, uncle and cousins, then down through Nebraska to Cheyenne (got to go to the UP steam shop!), down through Denver to see oldest granddaughter. I've only got us that far but would =love= to drive down to Chama and ride the Cubres & Toltec again. We'll see... Lyle

supervising the tire change with your coffee cup in hand ... Now, if I call AAA, it's usually because I'm not dressed for tire changing. :-) I will admit that I called them to change a flat on my van but that was more because Chrysler put the spare underneath the body, just aft of the engine, and it's a royal PITA to get it out. It was at our kids' house, so I just went back inside and hung out with the grandkids for a while longer. :-) Lyle
