Newbie question....
I have a Sportsmen 312SE BHS
I am having trouble getting hot water once I am at the campsite --- full hookup and wanting to use hot water heater on electric mode for showers...etc.
Any suggestions? My guess is that its more of lack of experience than a mechanical issue.
Thank you

Second, grab a multi-meter and check for continuity in the heating element. No continuity likely means a blown element. Easy to replace as it just screws in. You can buy a specific heating element wrench at most hardware stores for a few bucks. Lyle

My first thought was is there water in it? Check the pressure relief valve for water, insure water heater winterizing by pass valve is open not in by pass. If the waters warm but not hot check the out side shower, both valves off. If it heats on propane, there is an electric issue.

There are 2 electrical switches that need to be turned on. One on the control.panel.inside the coach and one on the hot water tank it self. You must remove the outside access panel and the switch is normally on the lower left.

I agree with jetzen, if you do not have the switch on the water heater it's self you will not have hot water even if you have the switch on the panel turned on This is one of those things that I believe everyone at one time found out thinking at they had a water heater problem Chuck
