I have a 2014 Spree Escape E19BH. I am looking to replace one of the ceiling vents with a maxxfan. The electrical for the light is easily accessible under the panel of the vent so I am thinking that part shouldn’t be a problem. Where I am running into trouble is the vent is right smack in the middle of the roof. As this model has the “Alum-A-tough” roof, it appears I shouldn’t walk on the roof. Any idea if it is safe to crawl or lean over from the side if I have plywood down to distribute my weight?
Even if I don’t replace the vent, I generally need to figure this out so I can put new sealant down and I am really not sure how to do that without getting on the roof for the seals I can’t reach from the side with just a ladder.
Anyone else have a way of doing this?
Thanks!

I have used the plywood method several times, so you should be OK. Use a large piece of plywood to spread the load. This is assuming you aren't an XXL 300# guy. Also be careful the plywood doesn't "scoot" out from underneath you, especially on the edge, sometimes an aluminum roof can be slick.
