Can I travel with the door from the living room to the garage open? I’d really like to prop it open and poke the nose of my kayaks through it when they’re loaded. My garage is 12 foot, kayaks are 12’3”. It would be much easier to load them and bikes if they could ride front to back instead of diagonal.

sptddog I'm not sure how much your trailer flex's while going down the road, if not much then you may be ok but I would put blankets or a moving pad around the noises of the kayaks to protect both the kayaks an door I would also make sure that the door could not swing freely while under way ...
However what I see that could happen is that even if the door is propped open blankets or a moving pad around the noise of the kayaks to protect both the kayaks an door are a couple of things ...
1. the door gets pushed out of adjustment an possibly the hinges bent ...
2. Since the doors on trailers are pretty thin after time a hole worn in such (Door) ... 3. Ware marks on your kayaks if the blankets or a moving pads around the noise of the kayaks to protect both the door an them fall off ...

We keep our door open all the time, even during travel. Magnetic door stops. Works great.
