Hi there everyone! We're a family of 4 currently (Mom/Dad/2 young boys + large dog) and have been looking at trailer options for travelling in the future. Just wondering if I could get some perspectives from people who've owned this model or a similar model. We would hope to use it for summer vacation, a few long weekends and in the fall for hunting season. Are you happy with how they held up with travel? Any tips/tricks? Storage ideas? Anything you wish you knew before purchasing? We currently own a Honda Pilot with a 5000lb tow capacity and are hoping that would be sufficient for towing. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I own a 180QB and used to tow it was a Santa Fe V6, also 5000 towing capacity. Moved to a Ram 1500. I would recomend the trailer, considering the price is pretty good. Items though that I had to adjust... 1. Invert the axle as the TT was to low to the ground. 2. Have the dealer move the battery inside above the axle to reduce tongue weight. 3. Add air bags to the SUV. I don't need them on the Ram.
You may have an issue with the max weight you can carry in the trailer, mine is pretty low, dry weight around 2900 and fully loaded max 3500.... not much room for stuff and water.
I have a Blue Ox weight distribution system, works well, however I would suggest a system that does not hang so low.Although the Ram has no issues with the setup. I have travelled twice, each time around 4000 KM and had not issues with the trailer, however the norcold fridge gave in.

We have a 181BH and love it so far. We have only had it a few months. I have a Ram 1500 and it tows it like a dream. The slide out makes it feel MUCH bigger than it is. That being said, it's just my wife and I and if we had another person I think it would start to feel small. There is a decent amount of storage but I find that it's not the easiest to get at. The front storage under the bed is quite large but the outside openings are small and to get at it from the inside you have to hold up the mattress which is a pain. I am considering putting cabinet doors on the side below the mattress to access the area from the inside and building some sort of storage management. Also, the storage under the dinette seats is tricky to access. I'm thinking of putting a divider in the middle which will help support the seat and making the outside half storage for things not used that often and making the inside half a drawer that pulls out for storage for snacks, water, etc. Since these areas are not easily accessible, we are using the bunks for storage right now which makes things look a bit messy. I think there's LOTS of potential to make the storage a lot more usable.
