I have a Sportsman 240. I keep it in my shop when not using. Has anyone tried putting a car dolly under each wheel so you could move it around on smooth concrete. They have them at Harbor Freight that hold 1500# each for moving cars around.

I have 2 words of warning: Harbor Freight
I would not trust my RV investment with anything from there. Go find a real, heavy duty set from a known company. You'll pay more but you'll get more.

I have used those exact dollies for my enclosed snowmobile trailer to turn it 180 degrees and place it for off season storage. The trailer weighs under 3000 lbs loaded and moving it is a bit of a chore with those small dolly wheels not wanting to pivot. I never had any problem with them after nine years of service. Oil the moving parts when you get them.

I have 2 words of warning: Harbor Freight I would not trust my RV investment with anything from there. Go find a real, heavy duty set from a known company. You'll pay more but you'll get more. Let see if the dolly fails it falls 4" onto the tire/wheel. I have a 40x50 shop full of harbor freight and have never had a piece fail. My overhead trolley cable lift is HF, lifted truck beds, my 5W every time it comes out, ATV's so I don't have to crawl under to work on the bottom, anything heavy to set on the floor. Right now I have a Craftsman ratchet (name brand) that has gone TU waiting to be exchanged. Tell us what you have that's failed and they would not replace.

I offered my opinion, nothing more. I'm super happy to hear that nothing has failed for you. If jerryj wants to buy them, I hope that they work flawlessly for him as well.

I’ve been doing some further research and found some comparisons on line. Best recommendation is for a Pentagon Tools 5060. They cost about $155 for 4 from Amazon. Reviews show they are heavier steel and better wheels.
I guess I should have asked if anyone has tried these to move travel trailer in shop.
I buy Harbor Freight stuff, but it comes down to what and how long you are using it for.

Blue Harbor Freight / Black Lowe Kolbalt. I have worked as a journeyman mechanic for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury and wouldn't think twice about using HF. That HF box is nicer than what I used professionally. Go buy Snap on tools, I'll use the savings to go RVing. Don't use tools much but this was a couple weeks back. I do most all my own RV repairs, vehicle repair/maintenance, home repairs, & rental repairs. Most with HF tools.

Edd505, what brake setup is that. I'd like to go to disks as well.

I looked at the Pentagon Tools 5060 and don’t see a dimes worth of difference.

There was a comparison on YouTube of the two. The Pentagon had thicker metal and the HB actually bent on one corner. I’m actually a fan of HB and regularly purchase from them.
