My wife and I bought this camper April of 2019 and we love it. Unfortunately this year the fridge stops working randomly for hours, days, and weeks at a time. The Dealer has checked it and says I need a new fridge, however they cannot get a time frame on when a new one will be in and we have a Pre-Schedule Vacation before then that requires the camper. This is a standard size fridge, so I am not sure why it is taking so long to get things in. The dealer says they have our exact year model camper for someone else with a bad fridge.
Anyone else having issues? Suggestions on how to speed this up so we only lose a month of camping not more?
Thanks Barnie

Their diagnosis of needing a whole new fridge makes me wonder just what failed. Pretty much everything can be replaced. Let's assume the worst- a cooling unit. I don't know whether warranty will pay to replace a cooling unit or if the refer manufacturers just send a whole new unit. Another issue is who is paying to warranty this? It really should be the mfg of the refrigerator, but with KZ's 2 year warranty, KZ may be covering the second year. And that might be the issue. KZ doesn't want to send a whole new unit, the dealer doesn't want to accept warranty prices to replace a cooling unit. And I could be completely wrong. There may very well be a shortage of refers due to the corona issue.
What to do? Here is a nuclear tactic. Call the dealer's parts department. Tell them you are restoring an old coach and want to know how much a new refer costs- give them your current refer manufacturer & model number as an example. I bet they can get one in a few days. If they can't, then maybe...just maybe the service department isn't fibbing. But if the parts department can deliver--Then its time for a meeting with the service manager or General manager- someone above the service writer you have been dealing with. Tell them your story, then mention that their parts department can get one in a few days- So what's the problem? Pitting one department against another may generate some friction, but it might get someone to take you seriously. Another idea is to try another warranty dealer. Most of the appliance manufacturers have alternative warranty dealers, you might try checking the manufacturers web site to see if one is near you and willing to take your repair on.

Welcome!
Did you ever operate the fridge while the trailer was not level? That will destroy the cooling unit.
You can get anything that is needed to repair the fridge in a couple of days, dealer is giving you the standard runaround. If the entire cooling unit needs replaced, get the Amish unit for about $600 and have a better than new fridge. Google is your friend, search your model number for parts and information.

Well It has been a month later, and Norcold cannot give our shop tracking information, though it was supposed to be in now. The part that KZ does not seem to get is that the Shop is 85 miles one way to get or drop off the camper, I have already made the trip 3 times on my own dime. This trip takes 3-3.5 hours depending upon wind and which way it blows and takes 3/4's a tank of gas. So going back up again to get it and then use coolers to camp is a little costly and takes a lot of time. Sadly KZ does not seem to feel that is their problem, maybe it isn't but this is the first BAD experience I have had and honestly I am not sure I would by a KZ product again based on current experience.
Oh, by the by, the shop has 3+ campers with similar problems, so how many other people have this issue and that is why I am waiting. Will see what KZ says this time, hoping they do something to help for a change.

Have you tried contacting Norcold directly? They may have a closer dealer to direct you to.
