Hello Forum! This is a complete newbie question, so please be gentle I think I must be missing something when attempting to set the dinette table up. Obviously the "tongues" go into the latches mounted on the wall, but when I try to extend the support leg, they slip out. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there a technique to get them in there far enough that they don't slip out when you try and put the weight onto the support leg? Thanks in advance, and glad to find this community!

Does it slip in from one end? Is the leg attached to the table bottom or a separate leg that drops in a plate on the floor? Give us a picture and we might be able to give more help. Hit the reply button in the upper right & it will give you the option.

Here's a picture. It seems that no matter how I'm going about it, I can't get the tongues into the latches far enough. Regardless if I start with the table tilted up and then try and lower it onto the leg, or start with it tilted down and use the leg to raise it, it doesn't latch. Thoughts? Sorry for the rotation - it's oriented correctly on my desktop but auto-rotates each time I upload it. Attachments:

KZ probably installed the wall brackets upside down. Take a closeup of a bracket.
I suspect that you have an iPhone causing the rotation, Google for a workaround.

at least on my end, when you click the picture, it's properly oriented.
Should the tongues on the table slide in from top to bottom or bottom to top?

bottom to top. you may be lifting it to high. Did this many times in our first rig. Your get there just relax. Sometimes an extra hand helps too
