I have a 2020 Durango Gold 381REF. I want to purchase a portable outdoor grill that will plug into the port that runs to my propane tank. Am I limited on what can plug into the port? I was told at Camping World that I can only use the small table top grills. I could not plug in any of the larger portable grills for some reason. Recommendations please. Thanks in advance.

I recommend that you find better places to shop than CW. There are several quick disconnect fitting types, be sure that you get the correct type or replace the current port. Video

Isn't the flow rate different on that RV installed fitting? I have a portable table top gas grill, but I use a 20 lb bottle to run it. Was told at my dealer, that the rv installed one, wouldn't run that grill. Plus I it for a small fire pit.

The internal pressure of all propane bottles, regardless of size, is the same. You should have a regulator at the source controlling the entire propane system, and that has a standard setting. If the components are too small is the only issue you might have and I doubt that is the case. Also, know that you can have only one regulator for an appliance, for example a grill with a regulator cannot be connected to a regulated system.
