I came across a keyless entry "RVLock" for 5th wheels. Has anyone ever changed out their door lock to a type of keyless entry? Looking for one that would be compatible with my 2020 Durango Gold. Does KZ make any such thing?

KZ makes the shell of the trailer and the cabinets, not much else. If you want such a thing, contact the company that supplies it.

Your Durango Gold doesn’t have keyless door locks? My 2017 381 REF came with them as standard equipment.
I did buy a replacement for one on Amazon, so they are available.

I do not see any reason that keyless door locks shouldn't fit your trailer, my dealer stated it would not be a problem in our 2017 G384RLT ... Safe Travels Chuck

I just installed the RVLock v4.0 keyless lock on my Durango Gold. It fit in the door easily. Only issue is the striker plate must be slightly up against the dead bolt. The dead bolt extends when locked, but when you enter the code to unlock it doesn't always pull the dead bolt all the way back. Had to use the key to unlock the door. I'm still working on how to fix it.

If you have already adjusted the striker plate, it's probably going to take a bit of grinding with a dremmel or something similar to enlarge the striker hole a bit.

Next mod is going to be keyed alike locks for all outside compartments. I'd love to have all my storage keyed alike, but that would mean changing out the CH751 lock on my front storage door and install an entire slam latch lock. Absolutely idiotic that it wasn't done at the factory. What =was= a total cluster, was the Evergreen Tesla that my son-in-law's parents had. It had slam latches on the pass through doors but CH751 locks on the gas pump and fuel fills (2 tanks; gen and toys) and had a =third= key for the rear ramp. There were 2 entrance doors and =they= were keyed separately. So, 5 different keys to open everything up. I can understand the CH751 keys as the doors were small, but why have different keys for the storage and the ramps? And WHY 2 different man-door keys? Even more stupid. Lyle

I did my house all keyed alike, 3 doors on the house with metal safety screens a lock & a dead bolt on each, so 6 locks, 2 doors on my shop and 1 on the wife's studio? (Converted garage) One key fits all, helps I have a buddy that's a lock smith.

The two different keys for the entry door is weird, something went on there, as its no big deal to change the cylinders in the entry door locks. There is a special key that releases the cylinder and out it comes. Every lock has a decal with the key code on it, so it's easy for a dealer to get a matching cylinder. It would be nice to have slam latches on the two doors that are CH751s. Seemed dumb to me, because if I was told it's $40.00 more for this coach because all exterior doors are keyed the same all I would have said is OK.... Yep, I hate keys. At the dealership I worked at, I did the physical security, so I had the place keyed (gates / doors) to match my house. For my current place every door is the same, all padlocks in my life are the same.

When we changed out locks, we got Kwiksets that have the "smart key" feature, so even a dummy like me can re-key all the locks. Hopefully, the guy who invented that did it on his own time/dime and licensed it to Kwikset and wasn't an employee. He'd be a rich dude! Lyle

Yeah, those Kwikset "smart key" locks are slick. Used them when I replaced the locks on our ft door.

Nope, there is a special tool you insert, its a whole procedure to rekey. You just don't walk up a shove any key in and **poof** it opens. This wasn't designed by the RV industry or the government.

751, works in my sons 1996 5W Aside from RVs, you would be amazed what a 751 opens. Everything from vending machines to X ray cabinets, it's the worldwide universal key. Several decades ago, I was down in Casa Grande dove hunting with my dad, brother, aunt and uncle. We were on my uncle's property which had the CAP canal running through it. I retrieved a bird that dropped up on the canal bank and, on a whim, checked the lock on a gate, pulled out my farm keyring and promptly opened the gate. Was a standard Master 3735 lock, which Dad used on our farm from the 50's. Uncle yelled to me to give him one and Dad took his off since he had a half-dozen more at home. :-) Funny story about that aunt. She was in real estate (still is) and left the office, came out to where we were hunting, dropped her limit in about 20 minutes and went to work. All dressed in her business outfit. Where she now lives, for the past several years, they've been doing a fund-raiser in town and one of the events is shooting .22s against her. So far, she hasn't lost. :-) Lyle
