Hi. I'm new to this forum. What I've seen seems to be some good info.
We have a 2016 S355TH12. I've ordered a 13.5K BTU Coleman Mach 8 low profile unit and plan to install it in the front bedroom vent hole. The trailer is supposed to be pre-wired for a second A/C unit. There is a blank plate on the curbside wall in the bedroom. I haven't taken the cover off yet for a visual but I'm assuming this is where the future wire is terminated from the breaker panel. I was wondering if anyone here has already done what I'm about to undertake, and if so, I would appreciate any tips or lessons learned. I could have this done at the dealership but I like doing this kind of stuff so I'm going for it. Thanks for any replies.

Typically, a pre wire consists of a blank plate covering a junction box on the ceiling, but its also possible they ran the wires to the ceiling and are just coiled up next to the vent flange and not connected to anything, then and as you suggest, they are connected in the box behind the wall plate. As far as tips, take it slow and careful dealing with the factory sealant on the roof vent. Don't go all crazy tighting the AC, you can bend things, and you don't want to smash the A/C gasket down to nothing.
