We’ve had problems cooling our rig in the past. With closable floor registers and a blocked return air grate ... the outside temperature today was 98 ... our inside thermostats read 76 in living room and 73 in the bedroom. Very comfortable. Three years ago the outside temp was 100 and the interior was 88, which was not acceptable. Just a couple of inexpensive modifications have made a huge difference. No shade at all. States slowly opening again with lost of restrictions. Hopeing to catch you when you get into the state.

Yes I am able to hold those temps as described. When we know it’s going to get hot we’ll turn the thermostats down 2-3 degrees cooler early in the day (9-10 am) so we get cooled down early and get “ahead of it”. It’s easier to hold a cool temperature than it is to try to cool down a rig that is already too hot.. been happy with operating this way and had good success with our “technique”.
We are still staying at the Alsatian. Hope to get headed towards Shipshewana in July ... with hopes to attend the rally, but if “social distancing” is still in force ( likely IMO), then we will likely just sit here until things clear up.
UPDATE: We have canceled all our travel plans. Too much uncertainty with the COVID-19 virus and the ongoing craziness with rioters and protesters. Once things settle down and there is a clear path forward on the virus ... we’ll get back on the road. That might not be until May of next year.

Have any of you tried putting air diverters above the ceiling vents in the ducts? I have good a/c flow from some vents and not others as the cold air seems to flow over and not down through those vents. Was looking for a fix. Thanks, Rick 2019 DG 356RLT

Thanks for the link. In my reading about others having a "low flow" a/c issue, I have come across that fix, but my a/c in my Durango Gold 356RLT is the same as yours in your 353RKT, which is fully ducted and non accessible from the inside. I came across a fix from someone where they just stuck a little domed hockey puck looking item, above each of the a/c vents in the ceiling and that mixed the air enough to get him better flow from his ceiling vents. For the life of me, I cannot locate that link. Rick

Somehow I am not seeing link. Mine work fine and we were just out this week with temps in low 90s and could maintain 70 didnt try less but air flow seemed low out of some of the vents so wanted to check it out.
