Nope, I wouldn't. It's a great way to void your frame warranty. A 5th wheel frame is designed differently than a goose neck frame. Years ago the place I worked sold two, both had frame failures. We wouldn't sell or install them after that. You go on the larger RV forums and there will be stories of how so and so used one and never had an issue. kinda like plating the lottery- lots more losers than winners.

Any of y’all put an adapter on to use goose neck ball? I agree with nvguy; great way to void your frame warranty. Now, if you =do= want to use a ball, you might look at the Reese GooseBox, which Lippert =does= OK for some, but not all, its frames. Not sure about KZ's stance on them, so I'd go direct to the factory for that info, preferably as high up the food chain as you can get...and in =writing=! Lyle

Yep, there are good and bad ones and Andersen makes them both. The long one (ranch hitch) is no good (bolts to the frame), the ultimate hitch is very nice and doesn't change the geometry and just wraps around the king pin. Nothing wrong with the Ultimate. BTW, I own both and will never use the Ranch Hitch again. I currently have the ultimate 5th wheel in my pickup. It will not void the warranty, but the ranch hitch will.
