Just picked up a PI EMS-PT50X last night. Used, supposedly, but looks new. Only a few scratches on the male plug are the only indication. Eventually, I'll put in a hardwired unit, but wanted something in the mean time. Brother may be taking my rig out in a couple weeks and this has been on my wish list for years.

I totally need one of those as well. Still on my list. I have to say I had to copy and paste (PI EMS-PT50X) into google to even know what the hell you were talking about. LOL

I went with a hardwired unit simply because I know I would forget the plug in one.

Just wanted to let you know that Progressive Industry has awesome customer service. I noticed some burnt contacts on a surge protector thatI bought in 2013. Filled a form on their website, attached a couple pics and copy of receipt and received a new one within 4 days.
I went with the portable one, easier to move to another trailer if needed. I leave it connected to my cord all the time so no extra steps to take to use.
