The wife and me road out a tornado in the closet with our daughter and granddaughter Sunday. Our house is destroyed ,one barn gone ,a couple other out buildings gone ,fences down all around our farm trees down everywhere , one huge oak crushed the house . But now the good news our Durango and its carport are totally undamaged, our F350 not a scratch wife’s car is undamaged . We have a great place to live as we rebuild and clean up this unbelievable mess . We are in awe at the kindness of our friends, family and community. We lost a lot of stuff but have really learned what matters it’s not stuff it can all be replaced we are just thankful to be alive and for the stuff that was spared but most thankful for our friends, family and the kindness of complete strangers. We are happy and comfortable in our Durango, still a little shaken but we will be fine !

Thank God, I'm glad to hear everyone is okay. Where are you located? My Son and Daughter in law live in central Alabama but luckily just had strong winds to ride out.

Sorry to hear of your experience. That had to have been terrifying. Very glad to hear you and your's are OK. Stuff can be replaced. Someone was watching over you, as you have a place to stay that's familiar.

Hate to hear of your situation, but I'm glad to hear that you and your family are OK. That's the most important thing! Wow, I can't imagine being in a storm like that. As others have said, "stuff" can be repaired/replaced.
I live in my Durango Gold and love doing so... however, there are those 4 or 5 times a year when the weather gets bad and the threat of tornados and straight line winds exist that really make me question my living arrangement. I have been in the fifth wheel in one of those storms with winds of about 70 mph (according to the news) and while the trailer was rocking pretty good there was no damage or problems at all, thank goodness.

Just to update, we are doing fine the cleanup goes on as does the stress of dealing with all the preparations of rebuilding but the Durango is great we got a temporary septic system set up and power even got the satellite going so we aren’t homeless. Insurance has been good so far . Thanks to all for your well wishes I’ve been tell everybody it’s just like going camping but the campground is terrible and I have to work my butt off everytime I walk out the door lol

God bless you and your family. One day at a time and you’ll prevail. You all are safe. You won. The storm lost. You have a hell of a story to tell. Outlast the negatives and stay safe.
