We’ll, we were supposed to leave today from Connecticut for a trip to Jekyll Island, Georgia for ten days and then back up to Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach for another week. That was shot to hell by the virus closing everything down and with us being told we would have to quarantine because we were headed down from the tri-state area. However, my sister in law is now a statistic by coming down with Covid-19. She was scared because she lives alone so I opened my Durango next to my garage and put her in it to recover. I have 50amp, city water and a dump station. She’s now living like a queen and doing better with family close by. We’ll see who might be next after she recovers. Basically, my Durango is now a field hospital. God works in mysterious ways.

Good on you! Just remember to deep sanitize after she's better and moves home.

That was very nice of you to do that for her. Let's hope there isn't another one...

My sister in law has recovered and has tested negative for any Covid-19 in her first re-test. She has to wait another week for the second. It was a hell of a horrible week for her but she was entirely grateful for what we did for her. She moved back home. The Durango has been sanitized professionally and is ready for the next customer. We have a close friend down the street that’s an emergency room doctor at Yale New Haven Hospital. He has a wife and three small kids and he’s scared. A local college is is letting the doc’s and nurses stay there to isolate themselves but he wants to be closer to his family. I told him it’s available. He might be next. If I can’t use it right now I feel obligated to take care of these people.

Glad to hear your sister is doing better. Thank you for what you are doing. We have not been in your position as yet, thankful that all are well with our family and friends. We live in Chautauqua County in western NY....so far only 18 cases...we hope the virus stays low.
Stay safe to everyone.

Saw an article where an ER doc's family took renovation money they had saved up and bought a trailer for her to "camp" in the driveway.

Thanks for all the support. This area was hit hard but slowing down slowly. My neighbor, the doctor, decided to use his garage to isolate instead of our Durango. He wanted to be closer to his family. My sister in law is free and clear now. We are itching to hit the road soon. Looks like we have to wait another month though. That’s ok. We’ll make up for lost time. Stay safe.
