We set up today and have water a every faucet except the kitchen. It acts like the aerator is clooged, but we have one of the long neck faucets with the pull out spray. I see no aerator or even a way to open the end. There is a tiny hex nut, that i pulled out, but nothing moved or loosened to get the aerator, even took my aircompressor and blew it in the end. No posistive results. Any suggestions? Kirt

Lyle, since you own a green tractor, as I do, I'll accept that in the spirit it was meant! Although, mine is a little newer then the one in your picture!
Calling KZ service today to see if they can give me a clue. My dealer said he'd have to see it. Well I'm 200 miles away, doubt he'd come

Nephew has a '35 BN (factory N model, only about 1,100 produced) that my grandfather bought new here in Phoenix; my '36 A; a mid-'70's 4020 Power Shift (side hydro controls); an early 2000's 5205 that we used in our citrus grove but replaced 2 years ago so we bought it from the family operation; and a 2004/5 L110 mower. Well sir, mine is a 2000 model 4200 compact. Hydro, 4 wheel drive, bought used with 19 hours. Replaced my 78 AC 5200 compact. I have 3.5 acres, and when you take the math all the way thru, my tractor, mower, and loader have been cheaper then the neighbors multiple riders and ZTR's. I was raised on 8 and 9 N Fords and a bunch of Olivers.

I'd've also saved one of our cotton picker units that mounted on it. I think my granddad had a JD D, but can't remember 100%; waaaaay before my time. Dad sold a JD G in the 70's. We also had a little Cat D-4 that would be fun to have. One that got away, my grandad bought for his brother in '46, and that was a JD H. Uncle gave it to his grandson, who then sold it on, even after my dad and I both told him to call us if he wanted to sell it. Nope. Grrrr! Lyle

You might check under the sink to make sure the valve is open to your kitchen faucet .... You guys sooner or later will find out that Red !!! is right!!! The reason they make JD's green is because they can hide in the grass when the real tractors show up LOL !!!! Safe Travels Chuck

Would that be IH red? I have driven H, M, Super M and one very old A in my life. Faucet issue turned out to be the button to switch from stream to spray. Replaced the whole nozzle, and it was fixed. Green tractors, well the resale is so much better then anything other then Kubota, in today's world

Our 4020 power shift, with about 8,000 hours, would sell for > double what we paid for it. Seems that people are totally fed up with the DRM b.s. that all the mfrs are trying to foist off on farmers. Used eqt prices are through the roof because of it. Lyle

midlotexan I have 4 M's, 3 H's, 1 B, 2 Super A's, 2 Cubs, 2 Cub Cadet Originals narrow frame (1961), I just got 4 more Cub Cadets that I have not picked up yet not running which are parts tractors but all complete from what I have been told ... Two of the large Dairy farms here locally have went from JD's to IH in the past years, seems like the JD dealer here in Western Washington State has grow so large they could care less if they sell to farms any more they care more about lawn mores for the city folks ... One of our friends bought a $40.000 JD with rock rake, 8ft scraper box, Alger with both drill bits, 8ft bush hog extra an when he ask if they would throw in a yard art wind mill they told him for another $200.00 he could have one, now that's a great salesmen, he could have almost been a RV sales person LOL Glad you found the problem with your faucet issue, sometime it's the smallest things that give you the most problems or pain in the backside LOL

Well sir, it sounds like I have something you would like. I have a neon Cub Cadet sign from 1969. It was in a local hardware store when they were a dealer. Bought it at estate sale(my vice), for 10 bucks, spent 50 more to get all the neon working. It is very bright. Looks like the old square nose mowers. Kirt

Well Kirt When I get down your way I might have to looking into maybe adding that to my tractor shop LOL ... I forgot that I also have a Super C out back that I bought from a guy who restored it from the ground up, looks better than the day I came out of the factory ... But saying all of this I am now thinking that I need to get rid of some of these tractors along with a bunch of old radio equipment I Have ... Problem is that you can put thousands of dollars into restoring one an get penny's on the dollar when you go to sell such ... I did a ground up restoration on 1946 Farmall H with dual rear wheels coasting me well over $3.500 an couldn't sell it for $2.000, rubber alone was over $1.000, I let it go for $1.800 to a guy in PA. he paid the shipping which was $900.00 ... My brother n law in Indiana bleeds IH red. Loves them. He has a Super M and a 60's model Cub, maybe a 140? Not sure. I went to vintage tractor show with him one time in Elnora In. Amazing old equipment, from every brand imaginable.

The DW likes Rumbly Oil Pulls, if I was to buy something Green it would be an Oliver I do like Red but I also am amazed at any of the old tractors< if you go to the Kz Rally the Saturday before the rally starts there is a big flee market down the road from it... In back they have a tractor show, lots of Rumbly's an JD's an even one old IN W9 LOL, they do plowing in a field behind the grounds an also have a sawmill operating, pretty amazing stuff ....
We were going to go to a Tractor show called Red Power in Huron SD in late June but
it looks like they may called call it off because of this crud going around even though it may be past for the most part, at least I hope ...

Be Safe Chuck I'm still kicking myself for not buying a gorgeous little 9HP Russell traction engine; 1890's vintage. Fully certified, too. Could have been bought for less than half what a half-scale Case casting kit would have cost. I'd still like a half-scale Case 110, though. :-) Lyle

My grandfather finished his farming full time, with a Row Crop 77 and a mid 60's 770 Oliver. Of course we always had a small Ford to putz around with. The last new tractor was a '73 Ford 2000, I got to drive it the 11 miles back to the farm. Here in DFW area, virtually no Olivers, just the big 4 Case, IH, Ford and of course John Deere for old tractors.
Our goal is to get to KZ rally. We went thru Shipshewana in early March. I grew up in west central Indiana, but never really went to that area. We also went to RV Hall of Fame. Interesting place, spent nearly 3 hours there.
Hopefully the travel season will get here soon.

Post by midlotexan on Apr 21, 2020 7:25:55 GMT -5
Yes, there was trash(blue pex) in the spray switch. Plus the aerator was blocked as well. Dealer took it apart, cleaned it, but they installed new one per DW request. That spray head to get aerator off, you have to use eye glass type screw driver, and there are 4 slots to work it out with. Even after tech did it to clean it, it took him about 5 minutes to take it apart and show me how. Poor design for sure. Kirt

I traveled Ohio, Indian an Illinois on RT 20 thought that area many times in the mid to late 70es hauling coil an flat sheet steel or Strohs beer mostly during the dead of night either going or coming from Chicago but never gave a thought that I would every buy
something from that area ...
Glad as I said you got your faucet fixed, we replaced our this past fall with a better one from Ace Hardware when we replaced our up-grade on out Toilet ... Even though Kz tightened it after the rally it came loose again from the I-70 cow path in Illinois Iowa an Kansas so figured when I was doing pluming I might as well change things in that area as well
Safe Travels an Stay safe
